It was the very beginning. Adonis called me up and explained the concept behind Aloha Aina, a powerful core value for the people of Hawaii.
Aloha Aina literally means love of the land, the land which feeds. Now after having cultivated creative work together with Adonis and his wife Asia, I deeply understand. Through Aina, I have also found family in Hawai’i.
The logo is a visualisation of the sun’s elemental power to nurture and bring forth fertility. Through radiating rays, an overall feeling of warmth is expressed, this is complemented by the wheelbarrow graphic, which symbolises how human touch - and not heavy machinery - makes a difference in the quality of the produce.
All of the elements come together into a round shape, much like a Seal of Quality.
